Even with its ease of access, Mikumi is the most desirable park for a safari. This park will save your valuable time while providing a genuine taste of an African safari. There is a wide variety of easily observable wildlife in the Park. Due to its proximity to Dar, it is the perfect destination for weekend travelers who don't have time to dedicate to a lengthy safari itinerary. The Borassus palm, which once flourished there and covered an area of 3,230 km2, is the source of the name of the park.
