Situated in south-central Tanzania, encompassing an area of 20,226 square kilometers, it is the second largest National Park. The Great Ruaha River and other water sources attract animals, especially during the dry season when game viewing is at its best. The word "Luhava," which means "the great river," is where the name Ruaha originated.
With an average annual rainfall of 500 to 800 mm, Ruaha National Park experiences only one rainy season, which typically lasts from the end of November to May. Situated between 750 and 1868 meters above sea level is the park.
The park offers a variety of activities, including evening and nighttime game drives, walking safaris, cultural tours, bush meals, bird watching, stargazing, balloon safaris, and picnics.
Ruaha is home to a wide variety of wildlife, and the breathtaking, ever-changing scenery adds an enchanted element to the whole experience. The rocky slopes dotted with baobabs, the refreshing green shade beside the river, and the wide, grassy plains all combine to create an amazing and thrilling journey.
