2: Which airport should I fly to?

Lasi Tours suggest you choose the convenient destination as per your trip itinerary.

  • Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in Tanzania is approximately 60km (60 min) from Arusha city
  • Arusha l Airport (ARK) only operates domestic flights (Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Serengeti)
  • Other options is flying to Dar es Salaam or Nairobi and catch a local flight. bus or shuttle to Arusha

3: What Vaccination do I need?

The following vaccinations are normally recommended for Tanzania:

- Tetanus, Polio, Hepatitis A&B. Typhoid, Rabies, Yellow Fever, Malaria (prophylaxis) and COVID-19

4: How do I get visa?

  • Online visa applications before travel are strongly advised.
  • On arrival at the airport or at the entry boarder points, bring cash US$ for easy payment.

7: What should I bring?

8: Is it dangerous to go on safari?

Don’t worry about wild animals on safari. Your Guide will make sure that you are always at a safe distance. You should never shout or disturb the animals with loud noises. Do not try to approach or touch them, and strictly do not feed them or throw any objects at them.

9: Can I bring my child/ children on safari?

Yes, why not! Bring your children on safari. We recommend safaris for children the age of 3 years. We have the best family safari and package for this special trip.

10: What are types of accommodations on safari?

There are several choices of accommodations during your safari from Luxury lodges, Luxury tented lodge, Mid-range lodges or tented camps and Budget public camping, click to view accommodations

11: What type of food provided?

  • At the lodges, tented and midrange lodges, chefs prepare food daily western style, and served buffet-style.
  • At the budget public camping safari, you will have your own private Chef who will prepare all your meals.
  • Chefs will cater for different tastes e.g., Western, Indians, or mixture. Local dishes can be saved if needed

12: Can you cater for special diets?

Lasi Tours have professional and well experience chefs who accommodate any kind of special need from vegetarian and vegan diets and kosha meals. Just let us know your need and relax as we serve you to our maximum outmost service, you will be amazed and satisfied by our staff.

13: Is there access to internet Wi-Fi?

  • Most lodges and tented camps have Wi-Fi. some public camp-sites do have Wi-Fi.
  • Buy a local SIM card with data that you can use If you want to use internet during your trip.

14: Is there electronic charging system during the trip?

All our safari vehicles have power charging points. Please bring travel adaptors to ensure they are suitable for your devices. The vehicles and most accommodation in Tanzania use UK sockets.

15: What happens if vehicle break-down?

Lasi Tours have the best Top-Notch well serviced safari vehicles customized to provide optimum safari experience on a rough and dusty roads.

Just In case of un common break down and our experienced guide can’t fix the minor breakdown on the road, your guide will request for a rescue vehicle which will take within 3-4hrs to your destination to continue with your safari.

Whilst every effort is made to prevent this from happening, the driving is rough and the vehicles do take quite a pounding!

Yes, you can join our daily departures and schedule tours with other safari partners in the same safari vehicles Safari vehicle takes maximum 6 persons comfortably and window seats is guaranteed for every person, The advantage and disadvantage Must be accommodative by each person, be flexible to have fun with others

18: What routes on Mt. Kilimanjaro do you offer for group sharing climbs?

We have common group bookings climbs on Marangu route and Machame route. Other routes can be arranged for groups sharing on request.

19: How do I shower on the mountain?

It is very cold and no warm water during the trek, so maybe you will not have a long full body shower during the trek. BUT You can use wet towel wipes if you like. We also provide wash basins for you to wash your hands and face.

20: What happens if someone in my group needs to descend?

Does the entire party also have to descend?

NO, the whole party don’t have descend down. Lasi Team of staffs are very professional. We bring multiple guides on every climb so that when any climbing party needs to descend out of any reason, it does not affect the rest of the party, he will descend with either one of the guide and porter while the other team proceed with the trek.

21: If I have to descend early, are the additional nights at the hotel covered?

No, the additional hotel stays are not covered and must be paid by the party.
