This is the way for mountaineers with a spirit of adventure who wish to take their time and ascend Mount Kenya (point Lenana at 16,355 feet) via a less-traveled path. Additionally, the climber has a higher opportunity of acclimating and being fit for the climb to Point Lenana, hence this route is advised.

Day 1: Drive from Nairobi to Met Station.

Day 2: Trek from Met station to Teleki Valley.

Day 3: Mackinder Camp – Mackinder Valley:

Day 4: Point Lenana - Taleki Valley

Day 5: Taleki Valley – Transfer Nairobi

Day 1: Drive from Nairobi to Met Station.

Travel from Nairobi to the Naromoru Park gate by car, then hike to the Met Station where you can spend the night and dinner. Given that we are 10,000 feet above sea level, today is a good day to acclimatise. In the afternoon, a short walk is done to aid with acclimatisation.

Day 2: Trek from Met station to Teleki Valley.

It takes around four to six hours to walk up the Taleki Valley to our Mackinder's camp, which offers a breathtaking perspective of the main peaks. Mackinder's Camp-BLD Overnight

Day 3: Mackinder Camp – Mackinder Valley:

Head north to start the circumnavigation of the main peaks after an early breakfast. During one traverse, which takes about five hours, we pass beneath the South and West faces as we approach two Tarn Huts, cross the western terminal, enter Hausberg Valley, and then cross Hausberg Col to enter Mackinder Valley. Today's highest point was attained at 15,000 feet. Our Mackinder Valley camp is located at an elevation of 14,200 feet. We'll spend the night in high-altitude tents—BLD

Day 4: Point Lenana - Taleki Valley

Trekking up the third-highest summit in the Alps. Few tourists use Pt. Lenana, which is located on the northern face. It should take roughly four hours of stiff walking to reach the top. Point Lenana is 16355 feet above sea level. After making a beautiful mountain pass, we drop into Taleki Valley and spend the night at our original camp.

Day 5: Taleki Valley – Transfer Nairobi

Go down the mountainside and get back to Nairobi.
