    Arusha National Park is a compact, breathtaking park with a variety of activities that can be fit into a single day of travel. The park is the nearest, just a one-hour drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport and Arusha town. There is an abundance of wildlife to be observed up close. From the colobus monkeys, hyenas, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, bushbucks, and giraffes in black and white. This park is home to over 400 different species of birds, including fish, snake eagles, hornbills, pelicans, and flamingos. The stunning Seven Momela Lakes, the Ngurdoto Crater, and the second-highest peak in Tanzania, Mount Meru, are three of Arusha Park's most prized and noteworthy features. When there are no clouds in the sky, you can clearly see the peak of Mount Meru and the snow-capped peaks of Kilimanjaro.

    The BEST THREE things to do in a single day are a nature walk in the morning, a wildlife game drive in the afternoon, and canoeing in the lake.

    Three hours Nature walk: Take a lovely walk beneath the canopy while accompanied by a park ranger. Through the rainforest, the ranger will lead you to the sparkling waterfalls where you might be able to see colobus monkeys.

    Three Hours Wildlife game drive: Following your delightful nature walk, return to the safari car for a game drive through the Serengeti Ndogo, ascending to the Ngurdoto Crater viewpoint.     As you ascend the mountain, you may also get a close-up look at various wildlife, including giraffes, elephants and zebras. Many bird species also find this to be a wonderful place to call home.

    You can get a great view of Mt. Meru, Mt. Oldoinyo Lengai, and the plains of Amboseli National Park from the pinnacle of Mt. Longido. Come down for a quick visit in the afternoon to the cultural initiatives run by the Masai women.     Day trip to Ngorongoro crater

    3hrs drive to Ngorongoro Crater and 5-hrs game drive 3 hrs drive back to Arusha

    The night before your journey, make arrangements for your packed takeaway breakfast from the hotel. Your safari guide will be waiting for you at the hotel lobby at 6:00 am, ready to help you get into your safari jeep and head towards the Ngorongoro Crater. The drive through the Great Rif Valley Escarpment offers a panoramic sunrise view of Lake Manyara Park, which is surrounded by greenery and blooming pink flamingos that seem to be hovering in midair.
