Day Trip To Longido Cultural Tour

Drive to Longido village for cultural tour within Masai village, you trek Mt. Longido or walk to the most traditional Masai bomas etc. late afternoon drive back to Arusha)

This is a full-day cultural adventure that starts at 7 a.m. with a one-hour drive from Arusha to the base of Mount Longido. Meet your local Masai Worrior guide who will accompany you on your hike up Mount Longido. During the hike, you will learn about the traditional and cultural lifestyle of the Masai Bomas and visit a traditional healer.

As you ascend the mountain, you may also get a close-up look at various wildlife, including giraffes, elephants and zebras. Many bird species also find this to be a wonderful place to call home.

You can get a great view of Mt. Meru, Mt. Oldoinyo Lengai, and the plains of Amboseli National Park from the pinnacle of Mt. Longido. Come down for a quick visit in the afternoon to the cultural initiatives run by the Masai women. You might like to purchase some of their handcrafted jewellery and decorations to help fund these projects. END OF TRIP: Return by car to Arusha
